The NOTED Job Fair is open to current students and alumni of consortium member colleges and universities.

Attendees must prove their affiliation with a member institution to gain access to the event.  Contact your Career Center to gain an Admission Pass (see links at the bottom of this page).

This event is closed to all others.

By participating in the Northeast Ohio Teacher Education Day, you will have an opportunity to meet hiring officials from school systems across the region, state, and nation. The event will begin with an open job fair format allowing you to network with hiring officials from participating schools. During the networking session, school systems may ask you to return for an initial screening interview during the late morning or the afternoon.

This website contains the complete list of school systems scheduled to attend, directions to the I-X Center, and an outline of the day's events. Please be sure to check this site for those details.

Check in for students begins at 7:30 am, the networking/interview sign up begins at 8:30 am. Employers will arrive at the same time, so expect a great deal of activity at the beginning.

When you arrive, you will need to check in at the registration table. You will be directed to a waiting room where you will complete a registration card and create a nametag for yourself (include your school and teaching area on your nametag).  You will also receive a list of the schools systems, a map of their locations within the room, an outline of the procedures for the day, a grid to schedule interviews, and an evaluation.

Employers may invite you to schedule an interview during the morning session. Those interviews will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will last 20 minutes. The last interview will conclude at 4:50 p.m. Please remember, the number of interviews you have correlates to a variety of factors: your teaching area(s), your geographic flexibility, and the employers' needs. If you are unable to schedule an interview with a particular school system, you may leave your resume with the recruiter at the table.

Please remember to dress professionally and bring several (30-50) professional copies of your resume. (Refer to this student success checklist for more suggestions and tips)

We anticipate that the event will be positive and productive. If you have specific questions, please contact your campus Career Services Office. Also, after the event, provide us with your feedback on the evaluation.  We'll look forward to seeing you at the I-X Center!
